While I enjoy some political banter about moral values and how to tackle them in America, there are some things that really bug me about some discussions that people bring up.
1) if you like the way the politics are sooo much in the country that you came from – WHY did you move to the US? Some of these folks are great people that I know, some not so well, but it seems they want to make the US political system and government like the one they came from – so I honestly don’t get it….
2) Does it really have to be Right vs. Left
As long as the political powers that be keep the American people pointing the finger as to who is right, then win. It is not until we stop pointing the finger at each other and start pointing the finger at D.C. that we will win.
Billions a month are being spent on bail-outs and we debate more about which side got us there & under who’s administration than how to move forward.
I feel that until we get corporate dollars out of D.C. and the politicians find out they can no longer buy votes, that they have nothing to fear from the American public – after all, they have a their own Healthcare, their own retirement – who wouldn’t want to join that club??!!
Fear mongering 101: this is a main tactic for both parties (Hmm, parties – yup, they are the one with the parties & the American tax-payers paying the TAB!) this keeps you in the camp you are in b/c look at how awful and mean those people over there are…..
